A Typical Night on the Streets

Each night offers a new lesson. God’s hand ensures that divine appointments are on His timing. We do see patterns to His call for us. The following outlines a typical night in Omaha.

From nearly a dozen churches, our team relies on God’s direction to identify a specific ministry location. Typically, we minister near the Siena Francis House (17th and Nicholas), the bus station (16th and Jackson), and neighborhoods in north and south Omaha.

We minister in groups of 2-3 and pair new participants with experienced ministers. Each team ministers to about 5 people an evening.

We establish a relational discussion before introducing Jesus. We allow the Holy Spirit to take the active role in changing a person’s life. We never pressure people to accept a personal relationship with Jesus.

New Christians need mentoring and discipling. We seek to link those we reach with established churches.

In addition to employing an active prayer team and trusting God’s will, we return to a central meeting spot for a team decision regarding any situation of safety concern.
